Our guarantee

It is our objective and mission to provide the best service possible and aid/assist our clients regarding the brands we are proud to offer.

Mementos is committed to provide the best service whenever possible. Mementos will try to contact the manufacturer to seek remedy for the situation. Mementos will provide the best service possible, however the ultimate responsibility lies with the manufacturer. Mementos is not a registered agent of the manufacturer and is not responsible to service the product.

  1. Except for the judicial liabilities based on the Civil Code of the Netherlands Antilles and personally by Mementos given guarantees, Mementos does not give any guarantee on the products it sells. In this framework Mementos has no liability for any of the products it sells, except in the event of gross negligence or intention of Mementos or if Mementos has a judicial liability.
  2. Furthermore Mementos is, except for the aforementioned judicial liabilities, not liable for damages or losses of the buyer of the product or a third party, which are caused by a retarded supply of the product ordered by the buyer or a third party.
  3. Mementos is not obliged to pay any damages or compensation to the buyer of the product or a third party, unless there is a situation of gross negligence or intention of Mementos or Mementos has a judicial liability.
  4. If a product sold and supplied by Mementos has defects or does not comply with the wishes of the buyer or a third party, one has to apply himself to the producer of the product.
  5. Upon a buyers claim for repair or return of an item, Mementos will serve as an intermediary within a 15 day period to see if the damaged product can be repaired or replaced, excluding cases of misuse, accident and/ or negligence by the buyer.

This service can only be offered if:

  • the buyer provides proof of purchase at Mementos
  • the sale has been recorded in Retail Pro;
  • the buyer has filled out the Warranty Form and provides proof of registration of the Warranty Registration Card with the manufacturer;
  1. Mementos will try to facilitate the quickest and most expedient way to inform and if possible repair the product on the island of Curacao at the request of the manufacturer. If a reputable serviceman to repair the product is not available, the buyer will ultimately have to send the product tot the manufacturer’s place of origin.
